St Mary’s College, Clady Design for Sport 2011

I was approached by pupils and teachers from St Mary’s College, Clady to help sponsor their Design for Sport Project 2011, which I was glad to be a part of.  The concept the young people had come up with was a sports stadium which included a velodrome, stands, top hall with 3G pitch, gym area, changing and toilets area, food halls, bmx and skateboarding areas,  storage, media and conference rooms.

The stadium project was a great success, it received the Pupils Choice Award at the award ceremony, where it was judged by a panel of experts which included local architects.  I felt that this was a very forward looking project, it looked great and worked really well.  I would like to offer my congratulations to all the pupils involved in this project and thanks for having me as a sponsor!!
